Olympia Urbano Flow modular seating set
Flowing concrete forms for distinctive seating arrangements. Olympia Urbano Flow features a distinctive, fluid design language. The concrete elements can define the design of public spaces and offer a concept for seating arrangements that deliberately differ from traditional, straight rows of benches. They can be used as striking design features, particularly in town squares and spacious outdoor areas.
- Concrete seating arrangement with fluid lines
- A distinctive design concept within the Olympia-Urbano range
- For the design of interconnected seating areas in public spaces
- Sculptural effect thanks to its distinctive design
- Suitable for open-space planning concepts in which seating also serves to define the spatial layout
Flowing contours lend solid concrete a surprising lightness: Olympia Urbano Flow reinterprets the clean materiality of concrete with a softer, sculptural design language. A characteristic feature is the radial transition on one side from the seat into the base recess. The recess, set well back, makes the seat above it stand out visually and gives the solid seating element its unmistakable ‘flow’ character.
Olympia Urbano Flow is manufactured from C30/37, XC4, XF1 concrete in accordance with DIN 18500. In the ‘Grauzement’ finish, the seating element features an acid-etched surface with anti-graffiti protection, exposed concrete class SB3 and chamfered edges; concrete specification BNB 010-0-S. Two integrated loop pockets facilitate the installation of the concrete element; further finishes and colours are available on request. Olympia Urbano Flow is designed for permanent installation with an installation depth of 100 mm below the finished floor level. Three basic shapes are available to suit different design concepts. In addition to a straight element, the series comprises two curved variants with a radius of 4,000 mm: 30° inward curve and 30° outward curve. This means that the characteristic shape can be used not only in a linear arrangement but also to create curved seating configurations. Particularly when several elements are combined, the mix of straight, inward-curving and outward-curving modules opens up a wide range of possibilities for public space design. The flowing contour of the Seat remains the unifying design feature and continues across the different geometries.
Olympia Urbano Flow thus combines the presence of solid concrete with soft radii and an extraordinary, sculptural line – for seating areas where the furniture itself becomes a defining element of the public space design.
