A seat becomes a personalised communication space: the customisable Backrest allows the bench to be adorned with your own designs. Whether it’s a logo, photograph, city map or a bespoke graphic design – motif printing opens up a wide range of possibilities for tailoring the Backrest to its surroundings, your own design or a specific message.
The custom-printed sandwich panel features a front made of aluminium composite material, onto which the desired motif is applied using digital printing and then finished with a protective laminate. The core panel is made of 18 mm thick, phenolic resin-coated birch plywood. The panel is glued to be boil-proof and weather-resistant; its cut edges are additionally sealed with boat varnish. The film surface is resistant to abrasion, moisture, common chemicals, and diluted acids and alkalis. The gluing process complies with the specifications of EN 314-2 / Class 3 (exterior), DIN 68705-3 / BFU 100 and BS 6566 Part 8 / WBP. The leg and seat insert can be chosen freely, allowing the customised design of the Backrest to be combined with different bench designs.
For production, a print-ready PDF with a resolution of 150–300 dpi in the format 1,772 × 342 mm (excluding bleed) is required. This transforms the Backrest into a customisable surface – for visual messages, information or motifs that give the bench a distinctive character.
