A monolithic form, clean lines and a strong presence in the urban environment: the Urbano Cubo bench reduces its design to a linear, cubic silhouette. Crafted from concrete, it is a three-seater bench with a deliberately solid and architectural appearance. Two different concrete finishes allow the character of the bench to be tailored to the respective design concept.
Urbano Cubo is manufactured from C35/45, XC4 and XF4 concrete in accordance with DIN 18500. A special mix of white cement with a specific grain size is available, featuring ground external surfaces and internal surfaces finished to a formwork-smooth finish. Alternatively, the bench is available in anthracite-coloured grey cement with formwork-smooth visible surfaces. Both versions feature chamfered edges and graffiti protection.
With Urbano Cubo Wood, the solid concrete structure is complemented by a layer of slats laid on top. The seat consists of 100 × 40 mm thick planks and is available in FSC-certified dark bamboo, savannah bamboo, iroko or robinia. Each of these material options can be combined with either white or anthracite-coloured concrete. The contrast between the solid concrete body and the natural look of the slats gives Urbano Cubo Wood a distinctive character.
Whether as a minimalist concrete bench or as the Urbano Cubo Wood with additional slats, the clean geometry remains the unifying design element, making both versions striking building blocks for the design of urban public spaces.
