Solid, monolithic and deliberately striking: with its enclosed form, the Palazzo bench makes a powerful statement in public spaces. The longitudinal panelling encases the body, visually merging the Seat and sides into a single unit. This creates a minimalist, almost sculptural appearance in which the chosen material takes centre stage.
Planks measuring 100 × 40 mm thick are used for the solid longitudinal panelling. The choice includes FSC-certified Dark Bamboo, Savanna Bamboo, Iroko and Robinia. The various material finishes each lend the striking basic form its own distinctive character, without altering the Palazzo’s consistent, linear design. Internally, the panelling is joined together by U-profiles made of Hot-dip galvanized steel. The structural elements thus recede visually in comparison to the enclosed body, enhancing the clean effect of the surrounding planks. Palazzo is designed to be portable and features fixing holes, allowing the bench to be secured to the ground if required.
With its enclosed silhouette, Palazzo deliberately sets itself apart from classic bench designs: an expressive seat that combines clear geometry and the natural appearance of the materials to form a distinctive design element in its own right.
