Straight-lined, minimalist and consistent down to the last detail: the Linea bench embodies its name as a design principle. Its longitudinal panelling extends across the Seat and down the sides to the floor, creating a clearly defined, almost continuous structure. The unadorned form blends discreetly into the public spaces whilst, thanks to its unique construction, adding a distinctive design accent of its own.
Planks measuring 100 × 40 mm are used for the longitudinal panelling. The choice of materials includes FSC-certified dark bamboo, Savanna bamboo, iroko and robinia. The different material options make it possible to combine the characteristic lines of the Linea with various natural colour and material effects. The planked body is held together by laser-cut moulded parts made of Hot-dip galvanized steel. These structural elements are deliberately kept in the background against the continuous panelling, thereby enhancing the bench’s minimalist appearance. Linea is designed to be portable and features fixing holes, so that it can be secured to the ground if required.
The result is a bench whose design is based on a simple yet consistently applied principle: clean lines, a natural material finish and a form reduced to the essentials.
